Partly. ChatGPT can complete parts of an application in a cloud browser, but it can't run your job search. You're needed for the sign-in, any one-time code, the confirmation and any site that blocks it. It also can't find jobs across Indian portals, track applications or follow up.
ChatGPT's cloud browser is a browser on a cloud computer that ChatGPT Work drives. It reads pages, clicks buttons and fills in forms. It pauses when it needs your input, a sign-in or a confirmation. OpenAI's help pages don't say how it handles CAPTCHAs. When it's stuck, it asks you to take over.
What happened to ChatGPT agent mode?
It was retired. OpenAI's ChatGPT agent help article says the feature is no longer available; multi-step tasks moved to ChatGPT Work and browser tasks to its cloud browser. Operator had already been folded into agent mode, so guides that say "switch on agent mode" are out of date.

Risks, limits and how to stay safe
The main risks are hidden instructions on web pages, breaking a site's terms, and wrong answers going out in your name.
- Prompt injection: OpenAI warned that agent browsing carries this risk around email, files and account settings. Review each action before you confirm it.
- Site terms: LinkedIn's User Agreement prohibits automation, so don't let any AI browser click Easy Apply for you.
- Sign-ins: OpenAI says credentials go straight to the remote browser, unseen by the model and not stored. Sessions persist until they expire; clear them under Settings > Cloud browser. OpenAI advises against the "Always allow" site setting.
- Your answers: check every CTC, notice-period and work-authorisation field. Never let a tool sit a test for you.
