UX And UI Designer - Freelancer

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on UI/UX designer to test, review and improve the user experience of apps and websites. You will find usability issues, document them clearly, suggest improvements and design practical fixes that our developers can build quickly.

What You Will Do

• Test and review apps and websites, and give clear suggestions for improvement
• Log UI/UX issues with screenshots, steps to reproduce, severity and a suggested fix
• Create or update wireframes and high-fidelity screens in Figma
• Check basic accessibility, including colour contrast, tap-target sizes, labels and error messages
• Hand off clean, developer-ready designs and specs to the full-stack team

What We Are Looking For

• 1+ years of UI/UX design experience (freelance experience counts)
• A portfolio showing app or website UI work
• Strong working knowledge of Figma
• Good understanding of usability heuristics and responsive design
• Ability to explain design decisions clearly in writing
• Availability to work dedicated hours from 9 November 2026 for 12 weeks

Good to Have

• Experience with usability-testing tools such as Maze, Hotjar or Microsoft Clarity
• Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS
• Experience with design systems and component libraries
• Familiarity with WCAG accessibility guidelines
