Role Overview
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior SAP Security Technical Consultant to support SAP security operations, user administration, authorization troubleshooting, security patching, and technical security activities across the SAP landscape.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in SAP Security and Authorizations, along with technical knowledge of SAP BASIS security, RFC security, TLS/SSL certificate management, SAP transport management, and SAP system connectivity.
The consultant will work closely with technical, functional, infrastructure, governance, PMO, and project stakeholders to ensure secure, stable, and compliant SAP operations across Development, QA, Pre-Production, and Production environments.
Key Responsibilities
1. SAP Security & User Administration
- Manage and support SAP user administration, user access provisioning, and security-related activities.
- Troubleshoot SAP roles and authorization issues, including SU53 analysis and authorization-related technical troubleshooting.
- Support SAP security patch deployment and related technical security activities.
- Support RFC security configuration, troubleshooting, and secure communication between SAP systems.
- Manage and support TLS/SSL certificate renewals and related security configurations.
- Support SAP security audit, governance, and compliance requirements.
2. SAP Technical Security & System Support
- Assist with secure SAP transport management across Development, QA, Pre-Production, and Production environments.
- Support SAP system monitoring and technical troubleshooting where security issues intersect with SAP BASIS administration.
- Support SAP integration and connectivity areas, including SAP Cloud Connector, SAP BTP interfaces, and third-party middleware monitoring.
- Collaborate with SAP BASIS, infrastructure, functional, and technical teams to investigate and resolve security-related issues.
- Support technical security operations across SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, SAP HANA, and SAP Solution Manager environments.
3. Incident & Production Support
- Provide support for production incidents related to SAP Security and Authorizations.
- Perform technical troubleshooting, investigate security-related issues, and contribute to root-cause analysis (RCA).
- Support high-priority production incidents and coordinate resolution activities with relevant technical and functional teams.
- Participate in on-call support rotations when required.
- Follow established incident management, problem management, change management, and operational support processes.
4. Audit, Compliance & Change Management
- Support SAP security audits, access reviews, compliance activities, and associated documentation requirements.
- Assist with controlled and secure transport management and adherence to established change-management procedures.
- Ensure security-related activities follow applicable project, governance, and operational processes.
5. Stakeholder Collaboration & Agile Delivery
- Coordinate technical activities with key stakeholders, PMO, infrastructure teams, and functional leads.
- Collaborate effectively with technical and functional teams to resolve cross-functional issues.
- Participate as a core team member within the Agile delivery methodology.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and adhere to project processes, change-management requirements, and deliverable-tracking procedures.

- 14+ years of relevant experience in SAP technical and security-related roles.
- Strong hands-on experience in SAP Security, user administration, role management, and authorization troubleshooting.
- Practical exposure to SAP technical security activities, including security patching, RFC security, TLS/SSL certificates, and transport management.
- Experience supporting SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA environments, along with relevant exposure to SAP HANA and SAP Solution Manager.
- Experience handling production incidents, technical troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively across technical, functional, infrastructure, and governance teams.
- Strong communication, stakeholder-management, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to participate in Agile delivery activities, change-management processes, and on-call support rotations as required.
