Solutions Architect - Pre-Sales - Fintech & Payments

Role Overview:

As a Solutions Architect - Pre-Sales Engineer, you will serve as the technical bridge between our innovative fintech product suite and our enterprise banking clients. You will lead the end-to-end solution design process, translating complex business requirements into scalable payment architectures. Working closely with sales teams, product managers, and engineering leads, you will drive the technical validation of our offerings, manage high-stakes RFP responses, and act as a trusted advisor to C-suite stakeholders. Your work directly impacts our market expansion by ensuring that our payment solutions are not only technically robust but also perfectly aligned with the operational realities of modern digital banking.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead technical discovery sessions with prospective clients to map their existing payment infrastructure and identify opportunities for digital transformation.

- Design comprehensive solution architectures that integrate seamlessly with client ecosystems, focusing on API-first strategies and high-availability payment processing.

- Manage the end-to-end RFP and RFI process, crafting compelling technical proposals that highlight our competitive edge in the fintech landscape.

- Conduct high-impact product demonstrations and technical workshops to articulate the value proposition of our payment gateway and banking solutions to diverse stakeholder groups.

- Collaborate with internal product and engineering teams to provide market feedback, ensuring our product roadmap remains aligned with emerging industry trends and client needs.

- Oversee the proof-of-concept (PoC) phase, guiding clients through technical integration to ensure a smooth transition from sales to implementation.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in designing complex payment architectures, including deep knowledge of payment gateways, ISO 8583/20022 standards, and real-time payment rails.

- Proven ability to translate intricate business requirements into technical specifications, supported by a strong background in business analysis within the banking or fintech sector.

- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and influence decision-makers during high-stakes negotiations.

- Strong proficiency in API integration strategies, microservices architecture, and cloud-native deployments, enabling you to advise clients on modernizing their legacy banking operations.

- A strategic mindset for proposal management, capable of balancing technical feasibility with commercial viability to win large-scale enterprise contracts.

- An educational background in Engineering or Management from a premier institute, complemented by 5 - 10 years of experience in a client-facing technical role.

- High adaptability to a hybrid work environment in Bangalore, maintaining a proactive approach to team collaboration and client engagement across different time zones.
