SAP ERP Techno-Functional Consultant

Role & responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective SAP functional and technical solutions.
• Work closely with Global S4HANA and Global IT Team.
• Conduct requirement-gathering workshops with business users and relevant stakeholders.
• Understand existing AS-IS processes, identify gaps, and recommend optimized TO-BE processes.
• Prepare functional and technical solution specifications based on approved requirements.
• Evaluate proposed SAP changes considering business impact, integration dependencies, scalability, and supportability.
• Act as the bridge between business users, SAP functional consultants, ABAP developers, integration teams, infrastructure/Basis teams, and external partners.
• Work with multiple SAP modules including MM, SCM, FICO, WM, and S&P as per global implementation roadmap.
• Coordinate technical developments involving:
• ABAP programs and custom reports
• Interfaces and APIs
• Forms and outputs
• Data migration/conversion requirements
• SAP and third-party application integrations
• Workflows
• Develop test scenarios and coordinate unit testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), regression testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Work with business users to validate functionality and resolve testing defects.
• Partner with business functions to understand operational challenges and technology requirements.
• Coordinate with SAP implementation partners, consultants, developers, and other technology vendors.
• Provide progress updates and proactively communicate risks, dependencies, and issues to project stakeholders.
• Ensure timely delivery of assigned SAP initiatives within agreed scope and quality expectations.

Support & Continuous Improvement

• End user support post implementation including user maintenance.
• Provide SAP application support for business-critical processes and resolve incidents/service requests within agreed timelines.
• Analyze recurring issues and recommend permanent corrective or preventive solutions.
• Identify opportunities for process standardization, automation, system optimization, and reduction of manual activities.
• Support knowledge transfer to internal IT teams and business users.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• 78 years of total professional experience in IT, ERP, enterprise applications, or related technology functions.
• 45 years of relevant experience working in an SAP ERP Techno-Functional capacity.
• Hands-on participation in SAP ERP implementation, support, rollout, upgrade, and/or enhancement projects.
