About a minute. You'll make an account on the way through.

    About this role

    About DATOMS :

DATOMS is an intelligent IoT software and hardware platform that streamlines asset management and operations for global enterprises. We leverage cutting-edge ML, AI, and IoT solutions to deliver scalable, customized hardware-to-cloud ecosystems. Our hardware and engineering teams build reliable, industrial-grade telemetry devices and gateways that operate in critical environments. We are a team of builders and problem-solvers, and we are looking for a dedicated SCM professional to scale our hardware delivery pipeline.

    The Opportunity :
We are looking for a proactive, results-oriented Procurement Supply Chain Engineer to manage our hardware supply chain operations end-to-end-from early-stage New Product Introduction (NPI) through mass production and final delivery. In this role, you will bridge the gap between engineering, manufacturing, and global suppliers. You will be responsible for component sourcing, vendor onboarding, facility quality audits, demand planning, and international logistics. If you thrive in a fast-paced hardware environment, possess sharp negotiation skills, and know how to build a resilient, scalable supply chain, this role is for you.

    Responsibilities :
    1. NPD, NPI Sourcing Strategy
NPD NPI Integration: Collaborate early with RD and Engineering during New Product Development (NPD) and New Product Introduction (NPI) to ensure design-for-
manufacturability, component availability, and target unit costs.
Global Supplier CM Onboarding: Identify, evaluate, and onboard global component
suppliers, distributors, OEMs, and Contract Manufacturers (CMs / EMS partners).
Relationship Management: Build and maintain strategic, long-term relationships with
component manufacturers, semiconductor distributors, and assembly partners.
    2. Quality Assurance Technical Audits
Facility Audits: Conduct rigorous technical audits of supplier and contract manufacturer
facilities to ensure compliance with global quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949
    for automotive applications).
Quality Performance Monitoring: Monitor vendor performance, lead times, defect rates
(PPM), and drive corrective actions (CAPA/8D) alongside the Quality team.
    3. End-to-End Operations Execution
Full-Cycle SCM Ownership: Manage end-to-end supply chain operations from initial
PR/PO creation and raw material procurement to customer dispatch.
Manufacturing Logistics Coordination: Ensure smooth handoffs across PCBA
assembly, functional circuit testing (FCT), packaging, international customs/logistics, and
    final dispatch.
Cross-Border Logistics: Oversee international trade compliance, customs clearance,
import/export duty structures, and freight forwarder management.
    4. Planning, Risk Mitigation Process Excellence
Planning Optimization: Drive demand forecasting, production scheduling, inventory
optimization, and safety stock modeling to ensure 100% material availability without
    overstocking.
Risk Management: Proactively identify supply chain bottlenecks, single-source
vulnerabilities, and component end-of-life (EOL) risks; develop actionable mitigation
    strategies and second-sourcing plans.
Process Analytics: Develop scalable operational processes, establish key performance
indicators (KPIs), and produce regular executive MIS reports to drive continuous cost
    optimization and efficiency.
    5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work daily with Engineering, RD, Quality, Sales, and Finance to align hardware
roadmaps with production schedules, cash flow, and customer fulfillment deadlines.
What Youll Bring (Required Skills Qualifications)
Education: Bachelor s degree (B.Tech / B.E.) in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or Supply Chain Management.
Experience: 3-6+ years of hands-on experience in electronics procurement, hardware supply chain management, or EMS/CM management.
BOM Planning Expertise: Solid grasp of multi-level BOM management, component specifications, production planning, and demand forecasting techniques.
ERP Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP software systems
(e.g., SAP, Oracle, Odoo) and advanced Excel-based modeling (VBA, pivot tables, dynamic dashboards).
Quality Standards: Familiarity with quality management systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949), supplier auditing methods, and electronics manufacturing processes (SMT, DIP, testing).
Logistics Trade: Exposure to cross-border import/export regulations, EXIM policies,
customs clearance, and international freight operations.

Negotiation Leadership: Outstanding negotiation, written and verbal communication,
    and cross-functional stakeholder management skills.

    Bonus Points For
Direct experience in sourcing IoT hardware, telemetry modules, microcontrollers
    (ESP32/STM32), or automotive electronics.
Professional certifications such as APICS CSCP / CPIM, ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 Lead
Auditor, or Six Sigma Green Belt.
An established network of regional and global component distributors and Tier-1 EMS
    partners..
