As a business application consulting generalist at PwC, you will provide consulting services for a wide range of business applications. You will leverage a broad understanding of various software solutions to assist clients in optimising operational efficiency through analysis, implementation, training, and support.

Responsibilities:

• Design & Architecture

• Develop scalable and secure cloud architectures utilizing Microsoft Azure services.

• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

• Implement industry best practices and Azure architecture frameworks.

• Implementation & Deployment

• Administer the setup, configuration, and management of Azure resources.

• Employ automation tools (such as Azure DevOps, Terraform) for deployment efficiency.

• Ensure seamless integration of cloud solutions into existing systems.

• Monitoring & Optimization

• Monitor Azure environments for performance, reliability, and efficiency metrics.

• Implement strategies for cost optimization and resource scaling.

• Utilize Azure Monitor and Azure Security Center for proactive management.

• Security & Compliance

• Design and enforce security protocols to protect data and cloud assets.

• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).

• Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability testing.

• Troubleshooting

• Diagnose and resolve technical issues across Azure services and solutions.

• Provide emergency support and guidance during incidents of disruption.

• Collaborate with support and operational teams to improve service reliability.

• Collaboration & Documentation

• Work with IT and development teams to ensure successful Azure integrations.

• Produce clear documentation on cloud architectures, processes, and findings.

• Foster knowledge sharing and technical expertise across teams.

• Training & Support

• Develop training materials and provide technical workshops for stakeholders.

• Support project teams in adopting Azure technologies and practices.

• Serve as a subject matter expert and advisor on Azure infrastructure.

• Experience

• Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure, including IaaS and PaaS offerings.

• Background in cloud architecture, migration projects, and Azure deployments.

• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins).

Mandatory skill sets:

• Technical Skills

• Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation.

• Strong understanding of networking, security protocols, and cloud governance.

• Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture

Preferred skill sets:

• Certifications

• Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Administrator Associate preferred.
