Director - Finance - Banking/Financial Services

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Planning & Strategy:

- Develop and implement the company financial strategy in alignment with business objectives.

- Prepare annual budgets, business plans, financial forecasts, and long-term financial projections.

- Identify opportunities to improve profitability, reduce costs, and optimize resource utilization.

2. Budgeting & Cost Control:

- Establish budgetary controls and monitor actual performance against budgets.

- Analyze project-wise, department-wise, and company-wide costs and profitability.

- Monitor cost overruns and recommend corrective actions.

- Implement effective cost-control measures without compromising quality or business performance.

3. Cash Flow & Working Capital Management:

- Oversee cash flow forecasting, fund allocation, and working capital management.

- Ensure timely collection of receivables and effective management of payables.

- Monitor bank balances, credit facilities, loans, and financial commitments.

- Manage financial commitments, foster strong banking relationships, and ensure compliance with industry best practices.

4. Financial Reporting & MIS:

- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

- Develop and review financial MIS, dashboards, and management reports.

- Monitor key financial indicators, including revenue, gross margin, net profit, and cash flow.

5. Taxation, Audit & Statutory Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with applicable GST, Income Tax, TDS, Companies Act, and other statutory requirements.

- Oversee internal audits, statutory audits, tax audits, and financial controls.

- Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, banks, and regulatory authorities.

- Ensure proper documentation, accounting standards, and timely statutory filings.

6. Team Leadership & Process Improvement:

- Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance & Accounts team.

- Define departmental KPIs, responsibilities, and performance standards.

- Improve accounting systems, financial workflows, and ERP/MIS utilization.

- Ensure coordination between Finance, HR, Administration, Purchase, and Project teams and CEO office.
