Cinematographer

About the Role

We are looking for an expert Cinematographer who can independently conceptualize, shoot, and produce high-quality video content for our brand. The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise, creative storytelling skills, and the ability to manage end-to-end video production with minimal supervision.

The role will involve filming brand videos, interviews, testimonials, educational content, and promotional campaigns. The candidate must also be willing to travel to the United States for company-sponsored shoots.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently plan, shoot, and execute high-quality video productions from concept to final footage.
• Handle camera operations, lighting, framing, composition, sound recording, and shot planning.
• Film interviews, customer testimonials, corporate videos, educational content, and marketing campaigns.
• Manage end-to-end shoot execution, including equipment selection, location assessment, lighting setup, and production logistics.
• Ensure professional video quality, visual consistency, and compelling storytelling across projects.
• Coordinate with the marketing and creative teams to understand campaign objectives and translate them into effective visual content.
• Manage footage organization, backups, and handover for post-production.
• Perform basic video editing and colour correction, where required.
• Maintain and operate professional cameras, lenses, lighting equipment, and audio gear.
• Travel to the US and other locations as required for company-sponsored shoots.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 58 years of professional experience in cinematography and video production.
• Strong hands-on expertise in professional cameras, lenses, lighting, composition, and audio recording.
• Ability to independently manage shoots without relying on a large production crew.
• Proven experience shooting corporate films, interviews, testimonials, brand videos, or commercial content.
• Strong understanding of different lighting setups, camera movements, frame rates, exposure, and colour profiles.
• Familiarity with professional video equipment and production workflows.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar editing tools is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to different shooting environments.
• Willingness to travel internationally, particularly to the United States, for shoots.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience filming in corporate environments or for education, EdTech, or professional services brands.
• A strong portfolio or showreel demonstrating cinematography skills across different formats.
• Experience independently managing production equipment, shoot planning, and on-location execution.
• Knowledge of post-production workflows and colour grading.

The candidate should be comfortable working independently, making creative decisions on location, and representing Miles Education during international shoots.
