Business Development Manager - IT Resource Augmentation

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Acquire new enterprise clients for IT resource augmentation across the USA, GCC, and Australia.
• Build and manage a qualified sales pipeline through direct outreach, networking, referrals, and strategic partnerships.
• Develop relationships with CIOs, CTOs, IT Delivery Heads, Procurement, and Vendor Management teams.
• Secure vendor empanelment and preferred supplier status with enterprises, Global System Integrators (GSIs), and Managed Service Providers (MSPs).
• Lead client negotiations, proposals, rate cards, commercial agreements, MSAs, and SOWs.
• Drive revenue growth, gross margins, and IT resource deployment targets.
• Expand existing accounts through increased resource deployment, renewals, and repeat business.
• Develop go-to-market strategies for target geographies and identify new market opportunities.
• Track industry trends, competitor pricing, and demand for technology skills.
• Coordinate with talent acquisition and delivery teams to ensure timely fulfilment of client requirements.
• Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, and business development reports.

Preferred candidate profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in IT Staff Augmentation, Contract Staffing, or IT Services Business Development.
• Proven experience in acquiring new clients in the USA, GCC, or Australian markets.
• Strong understanding of the payroll-based resource augmentation business model.
• Knowledge of Time & Material (T&M) billing, client bill rates, contractor pay rates, and gross margin calculations.
• Established network of enterprise clients, procurement teams, staffing partners, or vendor management stakeholders.
• Experience in vendor empanelment, MSP-led programs, and Vendor Management Systems (VMS) is highly desirable.
• Strong commercial negotiation, client relationship management, and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to independently achieve revenue and business development targets.
• Proficiency in CRM and sales intelligence tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or LinkedIn Sales Navigator.

Preferred Technical Market Exposure

Experience selling resources or services in one or more of the following areas:

• Cloud technologies: Microsoft Azure and AWS
• Cybersecurity
• Data and Artificial Intelligence
• ERP and enterprise applications
• Application development and digital transformation

Knowledge of US contracting models, GCC workforce frameworks, and Australian contractor engagement practices will be an advantage.
