EDUCATIONAL Attainment:

 Diploma or ITI in the Mechanical/Electrical trades 

No. Years of Experience: 

Minimum 4-5 years experience in Warehousing, preferably with FMCG environment exposure; knowledgeable with up-to-date inventory systems and other Warehouse-related system in International Scope. Certifications/Trainings Needed: 

Ability to operate preferably forklift & Reach Truck experience, knowledge in counterbalance. Knowledge in WMS system is preferred and in MS Office applications.

 Job Description

 The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the forklift and may also be required to perform order filler and checker duties.

 Forklift Operation

 1. To safely operate a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise.

 2. To unload, record, weigh and ensure that all goods are received in good condition and put in its designated place properly. 3. Must maintain efficient operation of the forklift to fill daily requirement/orders.

 A. Blending Area: 

1. Moving tea from sorting to storage racks.

 2. Moving tea from storage racks to blending lines.

 3. Weighing each pallet and recording it on the checklist.

 4. Random weight checking of flavors. 

5. To tally the first part quantity and highlight to the supervisor if there are discrepancies.

 Loading of Goods 

1. Ensure that goods for loading are free from any form of damages and is counted accurately.

 2. Conducts cycle count and scheduled inventory accurately to ensure that actual and system data is matching. 3. Does picking of goods accurately as per the documents and in a timely manner. 

4. Must be vigilant to details and ensure that any variance and damages in goods are documented and reported. Containers inspection

 1. Inspects containers before loading the goods. Receive items using RF gun. 

2. Must accurately check the goods being received corresponds to the packing list.

 3. Ensure that goods for loading are free from any form of damages and is counted accurately. 

Operates Forklift/Reach Truck on very narrow aisle.

 1. Maintain safety, cleanliness and tidiness of the Forklift. 

Compliance of Safety Practices and Procedures

 1. Assure compliance with appropriate safety practices and procedures and with applicable technical regulations and safety standards. 

2. Follow and maintain GMP, ISO, QMS, HACCP, 5-S and Food Safety and Work Safety standards.

 3. Knowledge and compliance in Pest Control Standards and practices as well as Environmental Management System (EMS) initiatives.

 4. Adhere to cost effective practices as well as continuous improvement and Kaizen encouraged in the department. 

Cost Reduction

 1. Awareness of cost factor and contribute to plant's cost reduction program. 2. Contributes in the reduction of operating cost which includes better management of utilities, and minimizing wastage of materials and avoids damage to company assets.
