VTL And VMC Setter Cum Operator

Key Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC/VMC machines as per production requirements.
• Perform machine setting, tool setting, tool selection, and work offset setting.
• Read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions, and tolerances.
• Set appropriate cutting parameters and monitor machining operations.
• Perform first-piece inspection and dimensional corrections.
• Handle measuring instruments such as Vernier, Micrometer, Bore Gauge, etc.
• Monitor tool wear and make necessary offset adjustments.
• Maintain required quality standards, production targets, and machine productivity.
• Follow safety, 5S, process sheets, and standard operating procedures.
• Identify and resolve basic machining and setting-related issues.
• Coordinate with Production and Quality teams to resolve machining issues.
  

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of CNC/VMC machine setting and operation
• .Knowledge of CNC controls, preferably Fanuc
• .Good understanding of G-Code & M-Code
• .Knowledge of tooling, tool offsets, and work offsets
• .Ability to read engineering drawings and understand tolerances
• .Knowledge of machining parameters and production practices
• .Basic knowledge of in-process inspection and measuring instruments
• .Good understanding of machine shop practices, quality, and safety

Candidate Profil

• 3–8+ years of relevant experience in CNC/VMC machine setting and operatio
• n.ITI / Diploma (DME) / B.E. – Mechanical or related qualificatio
• n.Hands-on experience in CNC/VMC machining and machine settin
• g.Machine shop/manufacturing experience preferre
• d.Good discipline, teamwork, attendance, and safety awarenes
