Video Editor Intern

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor Intern – Tamil to create engaging short-form videos and Instagram Reels for Vedantu's digital platforms.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of Tamil cinema, memes, pop culture, and social media trends, who can transform raw footage into engaging and relatable content

through creative editing, storytelling, and trending formats.

What You'll Own:

• Edit short-form videos and Instagram Reels using raw footage and briefs provided by the team.
• Incorporate relevant Tamil memes, movie references, trending audio, captions, and creative transitions.
• Stay updated with Tamil pop culture, viral trends, and popular Tamil meme pages.
• Upload and publish edited videos on designated Instagram pages.
• Experiment with editing styles, hooks, and formats to improve content engagement.
• Adapt editing styles to suit different content themes and target audiences.
• Incorporate feedback and deliver high-quality edits within defined timelines.

What We're Looking For:

• A strong interest in video editing and short-form content creation.
• A good understanding of Tamil cinema, memes, comedy references, and internet culture.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of editing tools such as CapCut, VN, InShot, or Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Creativity and an understanding of storytelling, pacing, transitions, and audience engagement.
• Attention to detail and the ability to work with creative briefs and feedback.
• Ability to commit to a part-time schedule of 4–5 hours per day, 6 days a week, for 3 months.

What Will Make You Stand Out:

• Experience creating Instagram Reels or other short-form video content.
• A strong understanding of Tamil social media trends and viral content formats.
• Familiarity with popular Tamil meme pages, creators, and cinema references.
• A portfolio of video edits demonstrating creativity and editing skills.
• The ability to identify trends and translate them into engaging video content.
