Video Editor Health & Fitness YouTube Channel

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our health and fitness YouTube channel on a freelance / part-time, work-from-home basis.

The role involves editing both long-form YouTube videos and short-form content, including fitness workouts, educational videos, reels, shorts, promotional content, and social media clips.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit raw footage into engaging, high-quality long-form YouTube videos and short-form content.
• Select the best takes and create a smooth, engaging story flow.
• Add transitions, sound effects, background music, and basic audio enhancements.
• Perform color correction and color grading to maintain a consistent brand look.
• Create and integrate motion graphics, titles, captions, overlays, and other on-screen elements.
• Collaborate remotely with the content creator to understand the video's objective, tone, and creative direction.
• Optimize videos for YouTube and social media platforms, following current content and engagement best practices.
• Maintain an organized archive of raw footage, project files, graphics, and other video assets.
• Deliver projects within agreed timelines and maintain consistency across all content.

Qualifications & Skills

• Strong video editing and post-production skills for YouTube and social media.
• Experience editing fitness, health, educational, or creator-focused content is preferred.
• Good understanding of color correction and color grading.
• Ability to create engaging motion graphics, titles, captions, and visual effects.
• Proficiency in industry-standard editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools.
• Basic knowledge of audio editing, sound design, and music selection.
• Strong understanding of YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and other short-form video formats.
• Good understanding of pacing, storytelling, hooks, retention, and viewer engagement.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow creative briefs.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet agreed deadlines in a remote work environment.
• A portfolio/showreel demonstrating previous video editing work is required.
