Vice President - Technology Leader - Wholesale Banking

Location: Mumbai / Chennai (Open to travel)

Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on technology leader to establish and lead Intellect's Wholesale Banking business. The role will focus on resolving critical technology challenges across product engineering, customer implementations, and strategic business initiatives. The ideal candidate will be technically strong, resourceful, and action-oriented, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, solve complex problems, and drive outcomes under pressure. The role will also support AI-led initiatives within Wholesale Banking.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a lean, agile technology team to address critical challenges across product engineering, implementations, and business priorities.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues, resolve product and implementation roadblocks, and drive timely solutions.
• Work hands-on with engineering, product, delivery, and business teams to accelerate execution and ensure successful outcomes.
• Identify practical, cost-effective solutions by leveraging available technology and resources.
• Support AI-led technology initiatives and emerging business requirements within Wholesale Banking.
• Build a high-performing team with strong technical capabilities, ownership, and problem-solving skills.
• Provide technology support for critical customer engagements, strategic initiatives, and business events as required.

Required Experience

• 15+ years of experience in technology, software engineering, product development, or solution architecture.
• Strong technical expertise and hands-on experience resolving complex technology challenges.
• Exposure to Banking/Financial Services, preferably Wholesale Banking products or platforms.
• Understanding of modern architecture, APIs, microservices, cloud technologies, and enterprise integration.
• Exposure to AI/GenAI technologies and their practical applications is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving, execution, and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to travel at short notice based on business requirements.
