Vice President, Specialist, Model and Data Risk, Audit

Business Function   Group Audit helps the Board and Executive Management meet the strategic and operational objectives of the DBS Group. We conduct independent checks to ensure that the Group’s risk and control processes are adequate and effective.  All our team members are highly sought-after professionals who work as trusted advisors to our clients, in all matters related to a company’s internal controls.  In this function, we look after a portfolio made up of Treasury & Markets business, Risk functions (including Market, Liquidity and Operational risk management) audit coverage. Skills, responsibilities and Requirements: Subject matter expertise in the areas of  Treasury and markets/ Market Risk/ Liquidity risk/Capital Adequacy: Audit Oversight & Execution: Lead end-to-end risk-based internal audits covering Treasury operations, Asset-Liability Management (ALM), Market Risk (VaR, stress testing, interest rate risk), and Liquidity Risk frameworks (LCR, NSFR). Model Risk & Advanced Analytics Audit: Evaluate the conceptual soundness, performance monitoring, and governance of quantitative models used for pricing, valuation, credit risk, and capital forecasting. AI & GenAI Governance & Risk Assurance: Review controls, bias mitigation, data lineage, prompt engineering governance, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) architectures deployed across banking use cases. Regulatory Alignment: Assess adherence to Reserve Bank of India (RBI) guidelines, Basel III frameworks, and evolving supervisory expectations regarding risk management, model validation, and automated decision-making systems. Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with Chief Risk Officers (CROs), Treasury heads, and model development teams to communicate audit findings, negotiate practical remediation plans, and track issues to closure. Data-Driven Audit Innovation: Leverage modern data analytics tools (Python, SQL, R) to execute continuous auditing, test large datasets within core banking systems, and automate audit workflows. Qualifications: Bachelor's/University degree (Banking/Finance Management or in any other related discipline), Master's degree preferred Chartered Accountant and related certifications (CFA, FRM or CQF) preferred Core Domain Expertise: Deep technical understanding of Treasury risk, market risk management, liquidity frameworks, and financial markets products. Experience auditing financial markets/trading desks is a strong advantage. Advanced Risk Competency: Demonstrable hands-on experience in Model Risk Management (MRM) or auditing algorithmic/machine learning models. Direct involvement in reviewing AI or Generative AI risk governance, model validation, or data risk is a mandatory key requirement. Experience: above 10 years’ relevant experience within Internal Audit (IA) in conducting Treasury & Markets and Risk Functions audits (preferably in Market and Liquidity risk audit domain).
