The Science of Good Health is looking for a Vendor Development professional with strong expertise in Nutraceuticals / Functional Supplements who knows the industry inside out — and, more importantly, knows who to call.

We're looking for someone who has an established network across supplement ingredients, nutraceutical raw materials, manufacturers, packaging, and allied vendors and can help us build a strong, reliable, quality-first supply ecosystem as we scale.

About The Science of Good Health

We are building a next-generation Functional Supplements & Nutrition brand focused on high-quality, high-potency and clean-label formulations.

Our products are built around functional nutrition and are designed with a strong focus on ingredient quality, bioavailability, formulation integrity and minimal unnecessary additives.

What You'll Be Responsible For

As our Vendor Development Specialist, you will:

• Identify, evaluate and onboard reliable vendors for nutraceutical ingredients & raw materials

• Build and maintain a strong vendor network across our brand.

• Develop vendors for primary, secondary and tertiary packaging

• Have a strong understanding of ingredient specifications, grades, certifications, MOQ, pricing, lead times and availability

• Source quality manufacturers / suppliers and negotiate commercially favorable terms

• Evaluate vendors on quality, consistency, regulatory compliance, pricing, scalability and reliability

• Maintain a database of reliable and alternative vendors so that the business is never dependent on a single source

• Work closely with Product, Formulation, Quality, Operations and Founders to source ingredients and packaging for new product development

• Support new product launches, reformulations and cost optimization

• Develop alternate sourcing options for critical / imported ingredients

• Stay updated on the Indian and global nutraceutical ingredient ecosystem

The Person We're Looking For

This role is NOT for someone who simply knows how to raise POs.

We want someone who can say:

I know where to source this.

I know the right manufacturer.

I know who can give us this ingredient at scale.

I have another vendor as a backup.

You should ideally have:

1. 3–6+ years of experience in Vendor Development / Strategic Sourcing / Procurement within Nutraceuticals, Supplements, Pharma, FMCG or Functional Foods

2. A strong existing vendor & supplier network

3. Hands-on knowledge of nutraceutical ingredients and raw materials

4. Exposure to packaging vendor development

5. Strong negotiation and commercial skills

6. Understanding of COA, specifications, certifications, MOQ, lead times and quality parameters

7. Ability to independently identify and qualify new suppliers

8. Strong market knowledge and vendor relationships

9. Excellent communication and coordination skills

• Imported / specialty nutraceutical ingredients

• Functional medicine / functional nutrition products

• Clean-label formulations

• Probiotics & microbiome ingredients

• Botanical extracts

• Premium supplement packaging

• Contract manufacturers / third-party manufacturers

• International supplier sourcing
