Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Legal professional with 5-6 years of post-qualification experience to manage the company's legal and compliance functions. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance, provide legal guidance to management, mitigate legal and compliance risks, and effectively liaise with government authorities to support the organization's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Legal

• Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize commercial contracts, agreements, MOUs, NDAs, vendor agreements, customer agreements, employment contracts, lease agreements, and other legal documents.
• Provide legal advice to business teams on operational, commercial, labor, contractual, and regulatory matters.
• Manage litigation, arbitration, consumer disputes, and legal notices through external counsel.
• Represent the company and coordinate with external legal advisors before courts, tribunals, quasi-judicial bodies, and government departments, as required.
• Liaise with government departments, statutory authorities, regulatory bodies, and local administration for obtaining approvals, licenses, registrations, renewals, and resolving legal or regulatory matters.
• Monitor changes in applicable laws and regulations and ensure timely implementation.
• Conduct legal due diligence for business transactions and strategic initiatives.
• Manage intellectual property matters, including trademarks, copyrights, and licensing.
• Manage the contract lifecycle and maintain legal documentation.
• Support business expansion and strategic projects by identifying legal risks and recommending practical solutions.

Compliance Management

• Develop and implement compliance policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
• Monitor statutory, regulatory, and internal compliance requirements.
• Conduct compliance audits and risk assessments.
• Ensure adherence to applicable labor laws, environmental laws, corporate regulations, and industry-specific compliance requirements.
• Coordinate with government authorities during inspections, audits, inquiries, and compliance reviews.
• Build awareness of legal and compliance obligations across the organization.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Masters Degree in Law (LL.B.)
