    Description

Want to help Earth's most customer-centric company design, implement and monitor risk mitigation strategies to improve the customer experience and protect Amazon's brand

To support the business, our primary mission is to perform independent and objective, risk-based assessments of Amazon business partners activities and related controls with the goal of improving operations, compliance, risk management, and overall success of the program. We provide Audit & Monitoring (A&M) support for high-risk transportation risk topics to drive compliance across the transportation programs and influence business controls

Amazon Quick Commerce (QC) program is experiencing rapid growth in Asia Pacific (APAC) & Middle East Türkiye and Africa (MEATR), operating various models across the region (e.g. in India, a hybrid model combining Third-Party (3P) On-the-Road (OTR) delivery partners and Amazon Flex; in MEATR via 1P and 3P programs). We are looking for an experienced Senior Risk Manager to join our APAC & MEATR TRC LM team, who can apply their knowledge of risk management and internal controls to a diverse set of transportation risk areas including compliance, process, technology, legal, finance, and program management, to lead risk assessment and A&M for QC program, specifically in IN and MEATR.

You will be expected to apply risk and control concepts to new and existing business models, clearly and concisely communicate identified findings to senior leadership, and partner with cross-functions teams to design workflows in support of risk-reduction activities. You will set program objectives, assign appropriate metrics that measure success, and drive business changes that reduce risk. You will work closely with the regional legal, business, product, and operations teams on effective risk mitigation countermeasures to ensure continued safety and compliance for Amazon and our transportation partners. The role will require high-level strategic thinking to deep-dive analytical problem solving while thinking big. You must be comfortable dealing with ambiguity and enjoy working on different problems every day.

    • Assist stakeholders (e.g., risk partners and senior business leaders) with identifying and managing potential risks (e.g., regulatory, operational, or reputational) in their core processes that if left untreated could impact on the achievement of their strategic objectives.
    • Identify areas where compliance monitoring required and design / develop a risk-based A&M program for 3P carrier compliance and lead execution.
    • Manage the end-to-end execution A&M programs to determine if the transportation partners are compliant with contractual and regulatory requirements.
    • Manage A&M findings, ensuring closure, or enforcement actions if they are not closed on time.
    • Guide senior business leadership, resolve risk management concerns, implement mitigation strategies, and influence the product roadmap.
    • Validate the business stakeholder's risk control effectiveness and follow up their implementation status.
