Job Description – Senior Automation Engineer (Playwright)

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Playwright Automation Engineer with 5-8 years of experience in test automation for enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable automation frameworks using Playwright and Java to support testing of a complex Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CRM/Customer Service) ecosystem and integrated web applications.

The role requires strong expertise in automation architecture, regression optimization, CI/CD integration, API validation, and enterprise-quality engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust UI automation frameworks using Playwright.
• Automate end-to-end business workflows across Microsoft Dynamics 365 and related web applications.
• Build scalable Page Object Model (POM), reusable components, utilities, and custom libraries.
• Develop and maintain regression, smoke, sanity, and integration test suites.
• Automate API testing and backend validations using Playwright API capabilities or REST-based tools.
• Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
• Analyze automation execution failures and perform root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and QA teams during Agile delivery cycles.
• Participate in automation strategy discussions and framework enhancements.
• Improve automation coverage, execution efficiency, reporting, and quality metrics.
• Support release validation activities for Dynamics 365 upgrades, enhancements, and integrations.

Required Technical Skills

Must Have

• 5-8 years of overall QA Automation experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in Playwright Automation with Java.
• Strong experience in Java & Typescript.
• Experience testing Microsoft Dynamics 365 applications.
• Expertise in automating:
• CRM workflows
• Customer Service modules
• Case Management
• Search and Navigation workflows
• Role-based access scenarios
• Integrated enterprise applications
• Strong understanding of:
• Playwright Framework Architecture

• Experience with API automation and validation.
• Strong SQL/database validation skills.
• Experience with Git version control and branching strategies.
• Hands-on CI/CD experience using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.

Good to Have

• Microsoft Dynamics 365 testing experience in Customer Service, Sales, or Field Service modules.
• Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber).
• Experience with Azure Cloud services.
• Knowledge of contract testing and integration testing.
• Experience with performance testing tools.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted testing and self-healing automation frameworks.
• Experience with Test Management tools such as Azure DevOps, JIRA, TestRail, or qTest.
