Test Automation

Job Description: Essential Job Functions: Lead the design, development, and implementation of automated testing solutions for REST APIs, ensuring high-quality delivery and adherence to industry standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize testing requirements, develop test automation frameworks, and execute automated tests to validate API functionality. Develop and maintain automated testing scripts using REST Assured API, ensuring efficient and reliable testing processes. Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in API testing, applying this knowledge to continuously improve testing methodologies and tools.

Basic Qualifications: • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience • Typically, 8 years of relevant work experience in software engineering, with a minimum of 5 years in a similar role, preferably in API testing and automation • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team, collaborating with developers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality testing solutions

Other Qualifications: • Expert-level certification in REST API testing, such as REST API TESTING 3, or equivalent • Strong proficiency in programming languages, such as Java, and experience with automated testing frameworks, including REST Assured API • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop creative solutions • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working with geographically distributed teams and stakeholders • Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems, such as Git • Strong understanding of software engineering principles, including testing, validation, and verification • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines At DXC Technology, we believe strong connections and community are key to our success.
