Technical Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE

Ripples Engineering is looking for an experienced Technical Manager to develop next-generation hardware for DMX lights, robotic nozzles, LED drivers, and fountain show-control systems. If you love building rugged, real-world electronics used in spectacular multimedia shows, this role is for you!

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and mentor the productdevelopment/engineeringg team; define the roadmap, priorities, timelines, and budgets; hire, train, and review team members.s
• Set design standards, code review practices,ce and documentation discipline
• Approve schematics and multi-layer PCB designs, with attention to signal integrity and power distribution
• Guide microcontroller architecture decisions (ARM Cortex, RISC) and firmware development on STM32 using STM32CubeIDE
• Oversee prototype bring-up, component-level troubleshooting, and BOM management
• Design for outdoor and waterproof conditions (moisture, surge, temperature)
• Define remote monitoring and control over IoT (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Ethernet, CAN)
• Build indigenous modules and reduce dependence on off-the-shelf controllers
• Lead on-site implementation, environmental testing and field optimization, and support commissioning at project sites
• Own the testing protocols, test reports,s and quality sign-off before release
• Work with the Projects and Purchase teams so R&D output meets site needs

REQUIREMENTS

• 6–9 years in a technical role or design & development of electronics, control systems, Defence manufacturing and development, embedded systems, or product development, with at least 2 years leading a team
• Strong fundamentals in electronics and embedded logic; hands-on experience with STM32/STM32CubeIDE and embedded C
• PCB and schematic capture tools (Altium/KiCad/Eagle); experience with ARM Cortex, RISC architectures, and communication protocols
• Proven end-to-end product development, from prototype to deployment.
• Strong diagnostic ability across hardware faults and software bottlenecks
• B.Tech/B.E. in Electronics, EEE, ECE, Computer Science,e or a closely related field (Mechanical with strong embedded experience can be considered)

GOOD TO HAVE

• Modbus, DMX512, PLC/VFD interfacing
• Solar/MPPT charge control
• Experience in water, pump, lighting, or automation products
• ML-based classification or data-driven prediction
