Technical Lead - Platform Production

Job Summary

As a Technical Lead - Platform Production team, you will lead the planning, creation, review, and delivery of high-quality technical documentation across electrical and panel design, EMC/CE compliance, and mechanical engineering domains. You will work closely with subject matter experts, engineering teams, and stakeholders to ensure documentation is accurate, compliant, structured, and aligned with business and regulatory requirements.

Your role will combine technical leadership, structured authoring expertise, and documentation governance while driving modern Docs-as-Code practices and content lifecycle management.

How You ll Make an Impact

• Lead the development and maintenance of technical documentation for electrical panels, control systems, wiring diagrams, schematics, single-line diagrams, and mechanical engineering deliverables.
• Own EMC and CE compliance documentation, including technical files, declarations, test evidence, and regulatory documentation.
• Drive end-to-end documentation lifecycle activities including planning, authoring, reviews, validation, publishing, governance, and maintenance.
• Implement structured authoring methodologies using XML/DITA, content reuse, metadata, templates, and topic-based documentation practices.
• Establish and enhance Docs-as-Code workflows using Git, version control, peer reviews, and controlled release processes.
• Collaborate with engineering, compliance, and product teams to transform complex technical information into clear, user-focused documentation.

What You Bring

• 10+ years of experience in technical documentation, engineering documentation, or technical communication with leadership responsibilities.
• Strong background in electrical and panel design engineering, including industrial control panels, wiring diagrams, schematics, single-line diagrams, and power/control systems.
• Experience with EMC and CE compliance documentation, technical files, declarations, test reports, and regulatory requirements.
• Proven expertise in technical writing for installation, configuration, commissioning, operation, maintenance, service, and troubleshooting documentation.
• Hands-on experience with XML/DITA structured authoring, content reuse, metadata management, templates, and documentation governance.
• Experience working with LaTeX or similar structured publishing tools for complex engineering documentation.
• Strong proficiency with Git and Docs-as-Code workflows, including branching, version control, collaboration, peer reviews, and release management.
• Excellent stakeholder management, technical review, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of networking technologies, including switches, firewalls, routing, and network troubleshooting.
• Understanding of panel mechanical assembly, enclosure design, serviceability, and mechanical interfaces.
• Experience with UG NX for reviewing engineering drawings and 3D models.
• Familiarity with Teamcenter for product data management, document control, and engineering change management.
