Team Lead - NRI Relationship Management - Banking/Financial Services

Role Overview:

To lead and manage a team of NRI Relationship Managers responsible for acquiring, developing, and retaining NRI customers. The role involves driving business growth through NRI deposits, investments, wealth products, remittances, loans, insurance, and other banking products while ensuring high-quality customer service and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Team Management & Leadership:

- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of NRI Relationship Managers.

- Allocate targets and monitor individual and team performance.

- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching to improve productivity.

- Develop team capabilities through product, sales, and process training.

- Ensure effective pipeline management and achievement of monthly/quarterly targets.

2. NRI Customer Acquisition & Relationship Management:

- Drive acquisition of new NRI customers through referrals, existing relationships, campaigns, and market development.

- Manage and strengthen relationships with high-value NRI customers.

- Identify customer needs and provide customized banking and wealth-management solutions.

- Ensure high customer retention and increase customer wallet share.

3. Business Development:

- Drive business across NRE/NRO/FCNR deposits, mutual funds, investment products, insurance, NRI home/personal loans, remittances, forex services, Demat, and wealth management offerings.

- Identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities within the existing NRI customer base.

- Build and maintain relationships with NRI communities, referral partners, and other acquisition channels.

4. Sales & Target Achievement:

- Own team-level revenue and business targets.

- Track daily/weekly/monthly sales performance and take corrective action where required.

- Review sales funnel, lead conversion, customer acquisition, and product penetration.

- Ensure effective utilization of CRM and lead-management systems.

5. Compliance & Risk Management:

- Ensure strict adherence to NRI banking regulations, KYC/AML requirements, RBI guidelines, and internal policies.

- Ensure proper documentation and account-opening processes.

- Monitor transactions and customer relationships from a risk and compliance perspective.

- Minimize operational, regulatory, and reputational risks.

6. Customer Service:

- Resolve escalated customer queries and complaints promptly.

- Ensure a seamless service experience for NRI customers, including overseas customers.

- Coordinate with operations, compliance, credit, forex, and other internal teams to resolve customer issues.

7. MIS & Reporting:

- Prepare and review daily/weekly/monthly business and performance reports.

- Track team productivity, revenue, customer acquisition, retention, and product penetration.

- Present performance updates and action plans to senior management.
