TBD Support - Mechanical (Power)

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment in Power Plant and Copper Smelter operations.
• Monitor and maintain rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, blowers, fans, gearboxes, conveyors, and motors.
• Execute maintenance activities for boilers, turbines, cooling water systems, ash handling systems, and auxiliary equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical failures and implement corrective actions to improve equipment reliability and availability.
• Plan and execute equipment overhauling, shutdown, and turnaround maintenance activities.
• Inspect equipment condition and identify opportunities for reliability improvement and cost optimization.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, work permit systems, and departmental SOPs during maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with operations teams to minimize downtime and maximize plant availability.
• Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) of equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor spare parts consumption and support inventory planning for critical mechanical spares.
• Support energy efficiency, reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2-4 years of experience in maintenance of power plants, metal, steel, cement, chemical, refinery, fertilizer, or process industries.
• Exposure to pumps, compressors, turbines, boilers, conveyors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and teamwork skills.
