System Administrator

We are looking for an IT Helpdesk / Desktop Support Engineer to provide first-level technical support to end users in a Windows-based environment. The role will involve troubleshooting hardware, software, login, network, and system-related issues, along with user account management through Active Directory.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in person.
• Create, modify, and disable user accounts in Active Directory.
• Create, modify, and manage Security Groups based on business requirements.
• Manage Email/Distribution Groups, including membership updates and access changes.
• Perform Vulnerability Management, including reviewing and remediating vulnerabilities across all severity levels.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues within a Windows domain environment, including login problems, profile issues, and network connectivity.
• Support patch management on laptops using Microsoft Software Center.
• Install, configure, and maintain software and hardware for end-users.
• Assist with system updates, software installations, and antivirus checks.
• Maintain documentation for IT procedures, support tickets, and troubleshooting steps.
• Coordinate with higher-level IT staff or vendors when necessary.
• Ensure timely resolution of incidents and requests, following SLAs.
• Educate users on best practices and basic IT procedures.
  
  

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in an IT helpdesk or desktop support role.
• Proficiency in Active Directory (user account creation, password reset, group policy basics).
• Strong understanding of Windows domain environments.
• Experience using Software Center for patching and application deployment.
• Knowledge of Windows 11 operating systems.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems like ServiceNow, Jira, or similar.
• Good troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  
  

Educational Qualifications:

• BE / B.Tech (Computer Science, IT, or related field)
• MCA (Master of Computer Applications)
• BSc / MSc in Computer Science or Information Technology
  
  

Preferred Qualifications (Optional):

• CompTIA A+ / Network+ / Microsoft certifications (MTA, MD-100, etc.)
• Basic networking knowledge (IP, DNS, DHCP)
  
  

Work Schedule:

• Shift-based role (rotational shifts during the day)
• Saturday and Sunday shifts are compulsory (UK time)
• Two days off per week (compensatory)
• No night shifts
