ROLE OBJECTIVE

The purpose of this role is to make product available to meet customer demand – and that includes delivery to the appropriate location, on time, in sufficient quantity. Supply chain role is focused on doing that in the most efficient and effective way.

Responsibilities

• Order management, shortage management, meet or exceed desired service levels and inventory targets as defined
• To focus on part availability, on time delivery to the customer, Quality and Cost Reduction by utilizing resources effectively.
• Driving supply chain and logistics excellence and ensuring the compliance of all statutory requirements in order to achieve Business goals.
• Provide innovative planning and logistics solutions to find and implement efficiencies with cross-functional teams
• Drive and assist in the identification and implementation of continuous improvement opportunities and customer satisfaction opportunities to deliver superior service.
• Support procurement exercises by providing operational market intelligence and benchmarking.
• Use of technological tools and internal data to generate reports that detail efficiencies as well as areas needing improvement.
• Responsible for Inter Company procurement & allocations from vendors in US/Europe/Asia
• Scheduling and Releasing orders on affiliates located all over the world as per the domestic requirement.
• Taking order confirmation and ensuring shipments are handed over to forwarder in time
• Oversee execution of shipments in different ways like Sea, Air Freight & Couriers from different origins like Europe, Korea, Japan, USA, Thailand, Brazil etc. in co-ordination of different freight forwarders.
  
  

Technical Skill

• SAP MM
• Advance Excel
  
  

EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE

• Graduate Degree holder from any stream – Preferably Engineering
• Good knowledge of SAP or a similar ERP-system.
• Excellent communication and partnership skills with CFTs
  
  

Critical Experience

• Minimum 3 years working experience in Supply Chain functions
• Experience with SAP highly desirable.
• Exposure to Data Analytical tools and Data Management would be added advantage

Job Requirements

Performing internal and external audits and analyses of processes to strengthen the supply chain and ensuring compliance with the safety and quality standards of the organization.

Maintaining stock rooms and inventory accuracy and participating in the physical inventory counts.

Assisting in the evaluation of suppliers and participating in plant surveys to evaluate and recommend prospective suppliers.

Reviewing and completing purchase orders, coordinating with the suppliers to place orders, and expediting the delivery of purchased items to meet delivery schedules

What Your Background Should Look Like

Generally requires Bachelors degree in appropriate field or local equivalent.
