Structural Drafter

Company Description Strands Post Tension Experts specializes in post-tensioning solutions for reinforced concrete structures, using high-strength steel to introduce internal forces that improve performance under service loads. The company focuses on designing and implementing prestressed concrete and masonry elements to enhance structural efficiency and durability. By applying tension either before or after concrete placement, Strands Post Tension Experts supports both pre-tensioned and post-tensioned systems. The team works closely with builders, engineers, and architects to deliver precise, safe, and reliable structural solutions.

Role Description The Structural Drafter is a full-time, on-site role based in Kochi. This role involves preparing detailed structural and post-tension shop drawings, updating plans based on engineering inputs, and ensuring drawing accuracy in line with project specifications and standards. The Structural Drafter will coordinate with structural engineers and project teams to interpret design requirements, model elements in CAD/BIM tools, and maintain organized drawing documentation. Daily tasks include revising drawings as per review comments, checking dimensions and reinforcement details, and supporting the design team with clear, constructible drawings.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Shop Drawings and Technical Drawing for structural and post-tension detailing.
• Candidates should possess skills in Architectural Drawings to interpret layouts, sections, and elevations accurately.
• Candidates should possess knowledge of Structural Engineering fundamentals to understand load paths, reinforcement, and post-tension concepts.
• Candidates should possess Building Information Modeling (BIM) skills to create and manage coordinated 3D models.
• Proficiency in relevant CAD/BIM software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent) and good understanding of construction standards.
• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field, with prior drafting experience preferred.
• Attention to detail, ability to follow engineering instructions, and strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively on-site in Kochi with engineers, supervisors, and project teams.
