Synaptics is looking for a Sr. Information Systems Engineer, Infrastructure to join our dynamic and expanding organization. In this role, you will serve as a technical leader within the IT organization, collaborating cross-functionally and with senior leadership to enhance performance and employee efficiency. Your responsibilities will include designing, presenting, troubleshooting, and implementing Microsoft-based infrastructure solutions. This position reports to the Director, IT Operations.

Responsibilities & Competencies

Job Duties

• Good understanding of PowerShell to automate systems management, deployment, and implementation of functions and modules
• Strong technical understanding of server, storage, network, and infrastructure administration
• Knowledge of Azure Conditional Access Policies, App Registrations, Enterprise Applications
• Basic knowledge on PowerShell scripting/cmdlets
• Strong customer service attitude and ability to work well with others
• Ability to be flexible and work with a fast paced and dynamic organization
• Collaborative approach to work with teams across organizational and technical domains
• Proactive, self-starter, able to work independently in a fast-paced environment to complete projects on time with minimal guidance
• Well organized with strong attention to detail; proactively ensures work is accurate
• Positive attitude and work ethic; unafraid to ask questions and explore new ideas
• Resourceful and able to solve complex problems through practical use of technology and a solid understanding of infrastructure architecture
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work within a diverse team

Qualifications (Requirements)

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or related field or equivalent
• 5 years of experience with Microsoft technologies with progressive growth
• Track record of assessing business needs, determining appropriate courses of action, and implementing solutions
• Hands on experience with Active Directory Management, O365, AD Domain Migration, Group Policies, permissions, and security
• Experience with Microsoft SCCM/Intune, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Teams, OneDrive
• Experience in cloud (AWS) or on-premises server virtualization (VMware), including designing and implementing AWS AD Connector
• Experience working in a hybrid environment (AWS and On-Prem) preferred
• No travel required
