Company Description Twinklezz Child Development Center is a Karnataka Disability Act-registered center in Bengaluru that provides therapy, education, and vocational rehabilitation for children and young adults with autism and other special needs. Founded in 2017 by parents of a child with autism, the center offers a full lifecycle of support, from early intervention and structured schooling to vocational readiness. Services include speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, ABA/behavior therapy, sensory integration therapy, special education, psychological services, and skilling programs. Twinklezz is recognized with the Karnataka Excellence Award for Autism Care & Disability Inclusion and is an accredited training partner of SCPwD under national skilling schemes. Role Description The Special Education Teacher is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru at TWINKLEZZ Child Development Center. This role involves designing and delivering individualized education plans (IEPs) for learners with autism and other developmental disabilities, using evidence-based instructional strategies aligned with the center's multidisciplinary programs. The teacher will collaborate closely with therapists, psychologists, and families to integrate academic, behavioral, and life-skills goals, and to track progress through regular assessments and documentation. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and conducting classroom and small-group sessions, adapting curriculum and learning materials, supporting communication and social skills, and maintaining a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment. The role also includes participating in team meetings, contributing to transition and vocational readiness planning, and engaging in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in special education.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience working with individuals with disabilities, particularly autism and other developmental conditions.
• Strong teaching skills, including lesson planning, classroom management, and differentiated instruction for diverse learning needs.
• Background in Special Education, with experience in individual education plans (IEPs) and inclusive education practices.
• Experience teaching at primary or middle school level, or working with comparable age groups in structured educational settings.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with learners, families, and multidisciplinary teams, including clear documentation and reporting.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, Education, Psychology, or a related field; relevant certifications in special education are an advantage.
• Familiarity with applied behavior analysis (ABA), occupational and speech therapy collaboration, or other evidence-based interventions is beneficial.
• Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru, demonstrate cultural sensitivity, and uphold inclusive, non-discriminatory practices.
• Strong organizational skills, patience, and resilience, with a commitment to long-term learner development and family engagement
