Sonographer for UK NHS

About the Role:

We are looking for experienced Sonographers to join a leading NHS Trust in the UK. The role involves performing high-quality ultrasound examinations, providing accurate clinical assessment and reporting, and delivering excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform a wide range of ultrasound examinations.
• General/Abdominal and specialist ultrasound including O&G, Small Parts, Vascular and Paediatric, depending on experience.
• Perform and interpret ultrasound examinations independently.
• Provide accurate clinical reports and support clinical decision-making.
• Maintain high standards of patient care, safety and confidentiality.
• Work effectively with radiologists and multidisciplinary teams.
• Support teaching and mentoring of junior/student staff.
• Participate in quality assurance, audit and service development.

Requirements:

• Relevant degree in Radiography, Radiology, Medical Imaging or equivalent.
• Postgraduate qualification in Medical Ultrasound / Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound / DMU or equivalent.
• Strong clinical ultrasound experience.
• Experience in relevant specialist areas such as General/Abdominal, O&G, Vascular, Small Parts or Paediatric Ultrasound.
• Independent scanning and reporting experience.
• HCPC Registration – Preferable.
• Relevant ultrasound accreditation.
• Good communication, clinical judgement and patient-care skills.
