About AQ Energy
AQ Energy is the energy division of AvalonQuad Engineering & Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd., focused on delivering reliable and high-quality energy solutions. We are starting with residential and commercial rooftop solar projects, with plans to expand into other energy solutions.
We are looking for an experienced, proactive and result-oriented Solar Sales & Project Coordinator who can independently generate business, close sales and coordinate solar projects from initial enquiry through commissioning.
As one of our first employees, you will work directly with management and play an important role in building and growing AQ Energy.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Generate new leads through field visits, referrals, networking and customer outreach.
- Meet prospective customers, understand their electricity requirements and convert enquiries into confirmed orders.
- Explain solar system benefits, pricing, savings, subsidy eligibility, financing options and technical details.
- Prepare quotations, negotiate proposals and close sales.
- Build relationships with homeowners, apartment associations, builders and commercial customers.
Technical & Project Coordination
- Conduct rooftop site surveys and assess installation feasibility.
- Recommend system capacity and prepare preliminary solar designs, layouts, material requirements and estimates.
- Coordinate with suppliers, installation contractors and technical teams.
- Monitor installation progress and perform quality and safety checks.
- Assist with testing, commissioning and customer handover.
Subsidy, Loan & EB Coordination
- Manage PM Surya Ghar subsidy applications and required documentation.
- Assist customers with solar loan applications and bank coordination.
- Coordinate with Tamil Nadu electricity utility officials for approvals, inspections and net-metering procedures.
- Maintain project documentation and provide regular progress updates.
Required Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience preferred in rooftop solar sales, business development or solar project coordination.
- Proven ability to generate leads and independently close solar sales.
- Good technical understanding of on-grid rooftop solar systems, panels, inverters, sizing and installation.
- Experience with PM Surya Ghar subsidy procedures, bank loan documentation and EB/net-metering coordination.
- Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy or a related field preferred.
- Good communication skills in Tamil and English.
- Two-wheeler and willingness to travel for customer meetings and site visits.
