Solar Project Engineer

Role & responsibilities

Project Execution & Site Management

• Supervise day-to-day site operations for solar PV installations (Rooftop/Ground-mounted).
• Execute projects strictly according to approved engineering drawings, structural layouts, and electrical Single Line Diagrams (SLDs).
• Coordinate material handling, tracking the delivery and safe storage of solar panels, inverters, structures, and cabling on-site.

Technical Supervision & Quality Control

• Oversee civil structure mounting and ensure correct module tilt, pitch, and structural alignment for maximum solar efficiency.
• Manage electrical work, including module stringing, DC/AC cabling, inverter installation, earthing setups, and lightning arrester deployment.
• Implement strict quality control checklists to minimize post-installation alignment or connectivity defects.

Vendor & Vendor Coordination

• Manage on-site technicians, sub-contractors, and labor teams to meet weekly project milestones.
• Liaise with clients and project managers to provide real-time updates and resolve technical roadblocks swiftly.

Commissioning & Safety Compliance

• Assist in testing and pre-commissioning procedures for the solar plant, including string testing, insulation tests, and inverter trial runs.
• Enforce zero-compromise safety protocols (PPE compliance, safe height operations) across the site.
