Social Media Content Creator - Fashion Design

CONTENT CREATOR: FASHION DESIGNING & BEAUTY

We're looking for someone who knows fashion design or beauty from the inside and can present it on camera in a way people stop scrolling for. You'll turn trends, techniques, looks and career paths in fashion and beauty into video content that builds an audience and helps learners get into the field.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Create content that travels

• Script, present and publish Reels, Shorts and YouTube videos on fashion and beauty trends, styling, makeup, skincare and hair.

• Spot trends early (seasonal looks, bridal and festive styles, viral techniques) and turn them into content within hours, not weeks.

• Write hooks, thumbnails and captions built for retention and shares.

Show the craft

• Make tutorials and demos: sketching, draping, fabric selection, garment construction, makeup looks, skincare routines and hairstyling.

• Do before-and-after transformations, product and tool breakdowns, and myth-busting videos.

• Explain concepts simply so beginners can follow and learn.

Guide careers

• Make career-guidance videos on fashion design and beauty: courses, job roles, salaries, freelancing, starting a boutique or salon, and building a portfolio.

• Host Q&As, webinars and live sessions with learners and followers.

Own the numbers

• Track views, watch time, saves, shares and follower growth; double down on what works.

• Plan a weekly content calendar with the marketing and design team.

MUST HAVE

Real domain knowledge is non-negotiable. You should have trained or worked in fashion design or as a beautician, and be able to demonstrate the craft on camera, not just talk about it.

• Domain knowledge in fashion design or beauty: A qualification (degree, diploma or certification) and/or hands-on work experience in fashion design, styling, makeup artistry, skincare, hair or salon services. Up to date on current trends, techniques, products and tools.

• Strong video presentation skills: Speaks fluently and confidently on camera, with energy and clarity, without reading from a script. Can demonstrate while explaining. Comfortable with both short-form and long-form video.

• A strong social media portfolio: Links to Instagram, YouTube or other profiles, or videos you've made, that show your work, your presentation style and how audiences respond to it.

• Malayalam proficiency: Speaks Malayalam fluently and naturally on camera.

• Understands short-form content: Knows what makes Reels and Shorts perform: hooks in the first 3 seconds, pacing, retention, trending audio and formats, and platform algorithms.

• An eye for visuals: Good sense of colour, styling, framing and lighting, so the content looks as good as the work in it.

ADDED ADVANTAGE

• An existing audience: Your own Instagram or YouTube following, or content of yours that has gone viral.

• Teaching or training background: Past experience as a trainer, faculty member or mentor, or in edtech.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE IN 90 DAYS

• A consistent publishing rhythm across Instagram and YouTube, with at least one series that has a recognisable format.

• Measurable growth in reach, watch time and followers, plus content that clearly beats the account's average.

• A library of tutorials and career-guidance videos that learners save and share.
