Site Head - Manufacturing Operations - Chemicals

Team Leadership & Workforce Management:

- Manage on-roll employees, off-roll staff, and casual workers.

- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Stakeholder Management:

- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

- External stakeholders include: Vendors, agents, public and private institutions, unions, and Government Agencies.

- Ensure effective communication and collaboration to support business objectives.

Manufacturing Operations:

- Oversee end-to-end manufacturing processes with a focus on efficiency and quality.

- Implement lean practices and optimize resource utilization.

Project Management & SAP S/4HANA Implementation:

- Lead factory-related projects including expansions, upgrades, and process improvements.

- Possess hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA rollouts, upgrades, and system integration.

- Drive digital transformation initiatives to enhance manufacturing and compliance processes.

Statutory Compliance & Audits:

- Ensure full compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

- Handle factory licenses, permits, NOC (No Objection Certificates), and audits.

Vendor & Client Management:

- Onboard new vendors and strengthen supply chain efficiency.

- Manage client registration processes related to plant operations.

Budgeting & Financial Oversight:

- Prepare and manage budgets for third-party manufactured products, employee costs, and project expenditures.

- Monitor financial performance and ensure cost optimization.

Technical Operational Procedures:

- Champion workplace safety and environmental sustainability.

- Ensure adherence to quality standards and continuous improvement.

- Ensure proper recording and analysis of incident, accident, first-aid, and near misses to minimize risk at shop floor.

- Regulatory compliance e.g. Proper certifications, licenses and permits required for smooth operations.

- Ensure fulfilment of market/customer requirement by producing right quality of material as per business plan.

Plant Maintenance & Systems:

- Ensure proper upkeep of plant machineries and effective running of environmental measures.

- Ensure proper upkeep of pipe rack and pipeline in the vicinity of the plant so that there is proper flow of chemicals.

- Drive measures required for maintaining various ISO-systems are in place as per schedule.

- Monitor consistency in mass balance to deliver right yield.

- Plan optimum use of available production facilities/circuits to ensure on time delivery of products.

- Ensure effective utilization of manpower, utility, raw materials etc.

- Report to stakeholders (Head of India Business) on the status of Legal Compliance and apprise him of its implication on business.

Utilities & Infrastructure Oversight:

- Manage technical plant (200 TPA) and formulation facilities (Liquid EC/SC/EW - 100 KL/month; Powder formulation unit-WP/WDG).

- Oversee utilities: boiler, chilling plants, cooling towers, compressors, brine chillers.

- Coordinate with R&D centre for process improvements and trials.

- Facility manufactures 2 speciality herbicides meant for 100% export.

- Lead 30+ direct/indirect staff; total plant manpower 50+ including R&D.

- Ensure statutory compliance, audits, and EHS standards.

- Support expansion projects (adjacent plot acquired).

- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders (vendors, agents, unions, govt agencies).
