Site Civil Engineer

Role Description: The Site Civil Engineer will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day civil engineering activities at project sites in Chennai in a full-time, on-site capacity. This includes supervising construction work, ensuring designs and specifications are correctly implemented, monitoring quality and safety, and coordinating with contractors, vendors, and internal project teams. The role involves reviewing drawings, assisting with planning and scheduling of site activities, managing site documentation, and reporting progress to project managers. The Site Civil Engineer will also conduct basic site measurements and inspections and help resolve technical issues that arise during execution.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills in Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering Design, with a solid understanding of structural and infrastructure principles.
• Candidates should possess strong Planning skills, including the ability to sequence activities, manage timelines, and coordinate resources on site.
• Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and codes, and to apply them effectively at the site.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and site stakeholders.
• Familiarity with construction safety practices and basic quality control procedures; previous experience on urban infrastructure or building projects is an advantage.
