Siebel Administrator

Role & responsibilities :

• Install, configure, administer, and maintain Siebel environments across development, testing, and production.
• Manage Siebel Enterprise Server, Gateway, Siebel Servers, Application Interface, server components, and component parameters.
• Monitor application health, availability, resource utilization, and scheduled jobs; investigate and resolve production incidents.
• Troubleshoot login failures, session issues, component failures, connectivity problems, and application performance issues.
• Perform deployments, patching, upgrades, configuration migrations, and release activities following change management processes.
• Tune server components, connection settings, and application parameters in collaboration with development, database, and infrastructure teams.
• Administer user access, authentication integration, certificates, and platform security settings.
• Maintain backup and recovery procedures, support disaster recovery testing, and ensure operational readiness.
• Support integration components and interfaces, including EAI, EIM, web services, and batch processing.
• Maintain operational documentation, troubleshooting guides, and root cause analysis reports.
• Participate in on-call support and planned maintenance activities.

Required Skills:

• Minimum 7+ years of relevant Siebel administration experience, including enterprise production support.
• Strong knowledge of Siebel architecture, installation, configuration, server management, and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with Siebel Management Console, Server Manager, log analysis, and monitoring.
• Experience administering Siebel on Linux/Unix and/or Windows platforms.
• Experience with Siebel upgrades, patching, deployment processes, and high availability configurations.
• Ability to automate routine administration tasks using shell scripts or other scripting tools.
• Strong incident, problem, and change management skills, with clear communication and documentation.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes
• Experience troubleshooting containerized applications and managing scaling, monitoring, and deployments.
