ㅤ
ㅤ
God's Cleaning Crew is a Canadian biohazard and specialized cleaning company serving the Greater Toronto Area.
ㅤ
We are building a serious organic social media presence across TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
ㅤ
We already create and publish content.
ㅤ
Now we are looking for someone exceptional who can transform that raw content into videos people actually stop scrolling to watch.
ㅤ
.
ㅤ
We are not looking for someone whose main value is adding captions, transitions, stock footage and music.
ㅤ
We are looking for someone who understands , , , , , , and can use those skills to transform ordinary raw footage into exceptional short-form content.
ㅤ
ㅤ
Your mission is simple:
ㅤ
- .
ㅤ
We care about results.
ㅤ
If raw footage currently becomes a video that gets 2,000 views, we want someone capable of looking at that same footage and seeing an entirely different creative possibility.
ㅤ
Maybe the opening is wrong.
ㅤ
Maybe the best hook is buried 40 seconds into the footage.
ㅤ
Maybe 70% of what was filmed should disappear.
ㅤ
Maybe the story needs to be completely reordered.
ㅤ
Maybe it needs a visual pattern interrupt, different pacing, stronger sound design or an AI-generated scene.
ㅤ
We want you to make those decisions.
ㅤ
You will have significant creative freedom.
ㅤ
ㅤ
You will receive raw footage created by our Toronto team and turn it into approximately - - .
ㅤ
But editing is only part of the job.
ㅤ
You will:
• Find or create the strongest possible hook.
• Restructure footage when the original concept isn't strong enough.
• Cut aggressively when material isn't earning attention.
• Build curiosity and emotional momentum throughout the video.
• Optimize pacing and information density for short-form audiences.
• Use captions, motion graphics, B-roll, sound design and visual effects when they strengthen the content.
• Use AI-generated video, characters, environments, imagery or effects when they can genuinely improve the story.
• Identify when additional footage or a reshoot would materially improve a video.
• Give our Toronto team creative direction on what should be filmed when necessary.
• Continually study what is performing on TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts and apply those lessons intelligently.
ㅤ
We do not care whether you use Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, Seedance, Kling, Veo, Runway, Higgsfield or tools that haven't been invented yet.
ㅤ
.
ㅤ
ㅤ
Please do not apply simply because you:
• Know Premiere Pro or After Effects.
• Can create captions and transitions.
• Have edited hundreds of videos.
• Have worked as a video editor for many years; or
• Can make videos look polished.
ㅤ
Those things are useful, but they are not enough.
ㅤ
A beautifully edited video that nobody watches has failed.
ㅤ
We are looking for someone who understands .
ㅤ
ㅤ
You should be able to watch a mediocre piece of raw footage and quickly identify:
• Why the current opening is weak.
• Where viewers are likely to leave.
• What the real hook should be.
• What should be removed.
• How the story should be structured.
• Where curiosity or tension needs to be created.
• What visual or audio elements would strengthen the experience; and
• How you would make the final video significantly more compelling.
ㅤ
You should have evidence that you can do this.
ㅤ
ㅤ
We are extremely open to AI.
ㅤ
In fact, sophisticated use of AI is a major advantage.
ㅤ
If real footage can be enhanced by inserting a believable character, environment, event, visual effect or entirely new scene, we want someone capable of exploring that possibility.
ㅤ
However, AI should strengthen the story, not become a gimmick.
ㅤ
We care about the emotional and creative result, not which tool produced it.
ㅤ
ㅤ
- .
ㅤ
Send us - .
ㅤ
For each video, tell us:
1. What you personally did.
2. Whether you were responsible for the hook/concept, editing, or both.
3. The approximate organic views the video received.
4. Why you believe the video performed.
5. A link to the published video where possible.
ㅤ
Please be precise about your contribution.
ㅤ
If a video received 5 million views but you only color-corrected it, tell us that.
ㅤ
If you took mediocre raw footage, completely rebuilt the story and helped turn it into a 2-million-view video, .
ㅤ
ㅤ
You can live anywhere in the world.
ㅤ
This is a fully remote position.
ㅤ
However, you must be able to comfortably conduct a fast-moving creative conversation in with a Canadian team.
ㅤ
You need to understand nuanced feedback without repeated explanations and be able to clearly explain your own creative thinking.
ㅤ
You do not need to work Toronto hours.
ㅤ
You only need enough availability to occasionally meet online during our normal working hours of : : for creative collaboration.
ㅤ
ㅤ
Our primary focus is:
• Instagram Reels
• TikTok
• YouTube Shorts
ㅤ
ㅤ
We are not hiring based on how many videos you edit.
ㅤ
We care about whether the content performs better.
ㅤ
Our primary objective is to - .
ㅤ
We will look at performance across a body of work rather than judging you based on one lucky viral video.
ㅤ
Metrics may include:
• Median and average organic views.
• Audience retention.
• Watch time.
• Completion rate.
• Shares and saves.
• Follower growth; and
• Ultimately, business generated from social media.
ㅤ
Our current content gives us a baseline.
ㅤ
Your job is to beat it.
ㅤ
Then keep beating it.
ㅤ
ㅤ
Portfolio gets you considered.
ㅤ
.
ㅤ
Finalists will be offered a .
ㅤ
We will give you access to existing God's Cleaning Crew raw footage and previously published content.
ㅤ
You will choose several pieces of footage and show us what you would have done differently.
ㅤ
You will have substantial creative freedom.
ㅤ
You may:
• Completely change the hook.
• Restructure the story.
• Remove large portions of the footage.
• Add B-roll.
• Add motion graphics.
• Change sound design.
• Create AI-generated scenes or characters.
• Use visual effects; or
• Propose an additional shot or reasonable reshoot.
ㅤ
We want to see the difference between the content we are currently producing and what can create from the same raw material.
ㅤ
ㅤ
This is initially a - / producing approximately 4 to 5 finished videos per week.
ㅤ
Expected compensation:
ㅤ
. ,-,, , depending on demonstrated ability.
ㅤ
For truly exceptional talent, we are willing to consider compensation outside this range.
ㅤ
We care more about finding the right person than finding the cheapest person.
ㅤ
ㅤ
Apply if you look at short-form video as a combination of:
ㅤ
+ + + + .
ㅤ
You obsess over why one video gets 2,000 views while another gets 2 million.
ㅤ
You notice the first second.
ㅤ
You notice when a shot lasts half a second too long.
ㅤ
You understand that attention has to be earned continuously.
ㅤ
You are willing to discard the original creative idea when you see a better one.
ㅤ
And when someone gives you average raw footage, your instinct is not:
ㅤ
ㅤ
It is:
ㅤ
ㅤ
If that describes you, we want to see your work.
