JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary

The Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing production activities during the assigned shift to ensure safe, efficient, and quality-driven operations. The role ensures achievement of production targets, optimal manpower utilization, adherence to manufacturing processes, and compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Supervise CNC,VMC, HMC, VTL, Grinding & Lapping machining and coordinate shop floor activities to achieve shift production targets.
2. Ensure adherence to manufacturing routes, BOMs, and production standards.
3. Allocate manpower effectively and monitor operator performance.
4. Monitor productivity, control rejections, and minimize downtime.
5. Ensure compliance with quality standards and support in-process inspections.
6. Enforce safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
7. Coordinate with Planning, Maintenance, and Quality departments for smooth operations.
8. Prepare and submit shift production reports and maintain accurate documentation.
9. Address shift-level operational issues and escalate critical matters to management.
   

Key Skills
Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of CNC,VMC, HMC & VTL machining / production processes
• Understanding of machining, forging, casting, or fabrication processes
• Basic knowledge of ERP systems (IFS / SAP / Oracle)
• Ability to read engineering drawings and process documents
• Knowledge of quality standards and inspection practices
