About the Role

We're hiring a contract SEO Specialist to support organic search execution — technical SEO, on-

page optimization, keyword research, and AI-search visibility tasks — for a defined 9–10 month

engagement. This is a hands-on execution role: you'll work from priorities and strategy set by

senior stakeholders, and take ownership of doing the day-to-day work well, not setting direction.

You'll also handle light reporting and tracking to support performance visibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct keyword research, competitive analysis, and content gap analysis to support the

content roadmap

• Support technical SEO audits — site speed, crawlability, indexing, schema markup, Core

Web Vitals — and help implement fixes as directed

• Execute on-page SEO optimization: metadata, internal linking, content structure updates

• Support AEO/AIO execution — implementing content structuring guidance (direct-

answer blocks, FAQ schema, definitional formatting) to improve placement in Google AI

Overviews and LLM answer engines

• Track LLM visibility and citation appearances across AI platforms (ChatGPT, Gemini,

Perplexity, Claude) and report findings

• Monitor rankings, organic traffic, AI Overview appearances, and backlink profiles; flag

notable trends

• Support backlink health checks and assist with link-building execution as needed

• Track core organic performance metrics using GA4 and Search Console, and flag

tracking issues (broken tags, miscounted conversions)

• Help prepare periodic reports and dashboards summarizing SEO and AI-search visibility

performance

• Assist in presenting findings to internal stakeholders as needed

Required Tools & Skills

• Google Search Console — performance monitoring, indexing/coverage diagnostics,

query-level analysis

• SEO platforms (Semrush, Ahrefs, or similar) — keyword research, competitive tracking,

backlink analysis

• Working knowledge of schema markup, crawl/indexation troubleshooting, and Core Web

Vitals

• Familiarity with AEO/GEO concepts and LLM visibility tracking

• GA4 and Looker Studio — enough working proficiency to pull organic traffic data and

build dashboards reports

• Excel/Google Sheets — comfortable with pivot tables and formulas for data cleaning

Core Skills

• 4–5 years of hands-on SEO execution experience — technical, on-page, and content-side

• Basic understanding of how AI Overviews and LLM answer engines source and cite

content

• Basic data hygiene instincts — able to spot tracking errors or discrepancies

• Good communication skills — able to clearly summarize SEO/data findings for

stakeholders

• Able to execute assigned tasks independently
