Senior Purchase Executive

Job Purpose

To independently manage the procurement of electrical EPC materials, ensuring competitive pricing, quality, and timely delivery in line with project requirements, technical specifications, and execution schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Electrical EPC Material Procurement: Handle procurement of electrical panels, LT/HT panels, PCC/MCC panels, APFC panels, switchgear, electrical components, power and control cables, cable trays and accessories, transformers, lighting systems, earthing materials, and other electrical installation and power distribution materials.
• Technical Understanding: Review BOQs, technical specifications, electrical drawings, material requisitions, approved makes, and project requirements to ensure accurate procurement.
• Vendor Management & Negotiation: Identify and develop suitable vendors, obtain quotations, prepare comparative statements, and negotiate pricing and commercial terms.
• Purchase Order & Delivery Management: Prepare purchase orders, obtain necessary approvals, and follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery of quality materials at project sites.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate with engineering, project, stores, accounts, and site teams to understand material requirements, resolve procurement issues, and avoid project delays.

Required Skills & Experience

• 46 years of hands-on procurement experience, preferably in an EPC, electrical engineering, or electrical contracting company.
• Practical experience in procuring a broad range of electrical EPC materials, including panels, switchgear, cables, transformers, lighting systems, and associated electrical installation materials.
• Understanding of BOQs, technical specifications, electrical drawings, and project-based procurement.
• Strong vendor negotiation, commercial evaluation, cost-control, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Experience: 4-5 years
