The Payments domain in CBA brings together the process, people and technology assets supporting real-time, bulk electronic, cheques, high value and international payments processing for the Bank. The team have the monumental task of ensuring that 40% of the Australian economy can transact over billion a day using the Bank s services in a reliable manner. With the payments technology systems being at the heart of the Bank, almost every customer-facing channel relies on payments services in one way or another. The Channels and Reporting Crew within the Payments Domain are responsible for leading and building the world-class products and delivery capability across critical payments channel and reporting platforms and highly visible change initiatives.

Impact contribution

As a Product Lead within the Payments Channel and Reporting Crew, you will work closely with the business to deliver exceptional outcomes for our business stakeholders and customers. You will be responsible for developing and delivering the data delivery for the Payments Domain. This will incorporate the delivery of new data, modernisation of existing data capabilities and development of the strategic roadmap for future state data delivery. You will be leading a team of data delivery experts to achieve this, while creating a psychologically safe, inclusive, accountable and high-performance culture, and working collaboratively within and across Crews.

Roles Responsibilities

• Define the squad product vision, goals and roadmap aligned with the Payments Channel and Reporting Crew objectives and purpose.
• Develop and design engineering solutions for products and platforms to address identified needs or opportunities and build and prioritise the Squad backlog in collaboration with key stakeholders.
• Lead and develop a squad of team members including engineers, creating a psychologically safe, inclusive, accountable and high-performance culture.
• Identify risk, dependencies and issues for the squad in line with excellent management of operational risk and compliance outcomes.
• Stay abreast of external market trends - regulatory, economics and innovation.
• Build and foster strong relationships across the product value chain, key PCRS stakeholders within and outside payments domain, L1 Risk etc. to ensure efficient delivery of strategic initiatives and resolution of issues.

Essential Skills

We are seeking an experienced Product Lead with engineering background and payments domain expertise.

Experience with the following will help you succeed in the role:

• Adept at defining and driving business and product roadmaps and execute relevant strategies within the domain or reference architecture and help foster CBA ways of working that is open, safe, productive and fun for everyone!
