Senior Manager- Payroll Statutory Compliance

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Statutory Compliance role based in Mumbai. The role involves monitoring and ensuring adherence to all relevant statutory, legal, and regulatory requirements applicable to the organization, including timely filings, registrations, and renewals. The individual will support audits, maintain accurate compliance documentation, track changes in laws and regulations, and update internal stakeholders on implications for business operations. The role includes coordinating with internal teams and external advisors, preparing compliance reports and summaries for management, and assisting in the development and implementation of compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls. The position also requires participation in risk assessments and recommending process improvements to strengthen compliance governance.

• Strong knowledge of statutory, legal, and regulatory compliance frameworks relevant to large corporations, preferably in diversified or conglomerate environments.
• Experience in compliance documentation, audit support, regulatory reporting, and maintaining accurate records and registers.
• Ability to analyze laws, regulations, and notifications, interpret their impact on business operations, and provide clear guidance to internal stakeholders.
• Skills in process improvement, internal controls, and risk assessment to enhance compliance effectiveness and governance.
• Proficiency with office productivity tools and compliance-related software for tracking obligations, deadlines, and filings.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and levels.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Law, Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related field; professional certifications in compliance, company law, or risk management are an advantage.
• Prior experience in statutory compliance, corporate governance, or regulatory affairs, ideally within large enterprises or the financial/industrial sector.
