Role Purpose

The role is responsible for leading the legal collection teams, in the Zone for all legal collections and recovery efforts and identification of accounts for initiating various legal actions against delinquent customers and managing cases about customer escalations. The role is also responsible for Conducting Conciliation & Lok Adalat camps in Locations across the two zones in coordination with the National Legal Collections Lead, respective Zonal Legal Collections Leads, and the collections teams.

Role Accountability

1. Strategizing and implementing Legal initiatives for the entire portfolio across the Assigned Zones
2. Co-ordinating with zonal and regional collection teams for identification of accounts for initiating legal action against delinquent customers
3. Drawing up zone-wise legal collections and recovery strategies, in line with portfolio performance, on pre and post-litigation initiatives, in coordination with the centralized collection team
4. Managing Section 138, Arbitration and execution matters across the country in coordination with stakeholders
5. Conducting Conciliation & Lok Adalat camps in various locations across the assigned zones, tracking settlements through camp walk-in customers, collating, tracking, and presenting the zone-wise legal collections performance
6. Liaising with Legal Aid for dates of Lok Adalat Camps
7. Timely legal assistance for Late-stage delinquency and Early-stage delinquency teams using all available legal tools viz. Legal notices, police complaints, mediation camps, etc.
8. Leading, conducting, and maintaining the Conciliation Lok Adalat feedback tracker
9. Maintaining a Daily Performance dashboard of the legal collection team across the assigned zones
10. Achieving recovery targets as per MOU

Review (with Regional Legal Collections Managers across Assigned Zones and National Legal Collections Lead)

Managing and providing support wherever required against Cases & Customer escalations (Across assigned zones)

1. Resolving customer escalations/ Police complaints/ FTE security issues/ against cases as assigned on Legal initiatives
2. Handling legal matters related to Employee liability
3. Supporting Against legal team on key litigation matters in the capacity of POA holder
4. Signing & submitting Vakalatnama for against cases
5. To Sign & submit Vakalatnama against cases
6. Managing legal notices/summons/ complaints received at the branch and coordinating with corro team for resolution

Zonal Cost Management

1. Periodic review of legal fee grid basis feedback on actual court cost and other amendments, if any
2. Managing Billing and payment for Law firms within TAT and with Nil financial errors
3. Co-ordination with the PRA team for pendency clearance

Compliance

1. 100% Settlement uploads on order sheet passed cases under conciliation and Lok Adalat process control to ensure Nil Escalations
2. Nil deviation in Court payment deposition & closure of Conciliation & Lok Adalat settled cases
3. DCR Update (To ensure conversation with Customer about any Legal Activity to be Updated on the system)
4. Nil Error rate in the Legal Billing process
5. Drive Zero defects onSVCL. Audit of law firms- 100%SVCL upload & Nil Errors
6. 100% closure for all Internaland External audit queries
7. Ensure Critical Collections Compliance metrics within benchmarks
