Senior Manager/AGM - Accounts & Finance

Role Overview:

This position will lead the accounting function across the organization, ensuring accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, efficient financial controls, and smooth accounting operations for corporate office and caf locations.

The role will oversee accounting, taxation, audits, payroll accounting, vendor payments, inventory accounting and month end closures while supporting business growth through robust financial governance.

Financial Accounting & Reporting:

- Lead the overall accounting function for the organization

- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing

- Prepare financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards

- Review General Ledger, Trial Balance, Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Account and Cash Flow Statements

- Ensure timely preparation of MIS reports for management

- Analyze financial performance and highlight key business insights

Accounts Payable & Receivable:

- Oversee vendor payments and employee reimbursements

- Monitor ageing of receivables and vendor outstanding balances

- Ensure timely customer collections and reconciliation

- Maintain healthy working capital through effective receivable and payable management

Caf Accounting & Inventory Control:

- Monitor daily caf sales reconciliation across POS, aggregators and payment gateways

- Ensure accurate accounting of inventory, food cost, wastage and stock adjustments

- Review store level cash reconciliations and banking

- Establish financial controls over caf operations and inventory movement

Taxation & Statutory Compliance:

- Ensure timely filing of GST, TDS, Income Tax and other statutory returns

- Manage statutory audits, internal audits and tax assessments

- Ensure compliance with Companies Act and other applicable financial regulations

- Coordinate with external consultants and auditors

Financial Controls & Governance:

- Develop and strengthen accounting policies and SOPs

- Ensure compliance with internal controls and approval matrices

- Monitor financial risks and implement corrective measures

- Lead process improvement and automation initiatives

Budgeting & Cash Flow:

- Support annual budgeting and forecasting

- Monitor cash flow and fund requirements

- Track budget versus actual performance

- Recommend cost optimization initiatives

Team Management:

- Lead and mentor the finance and accounts team

- Drive capability building and succession planning within the Accounts function

Systems & Process Improvement:

- Drive optimization of the Zoho Finance suite and lead automation initiatives across accounting processes

- Ensure accurate master data management

- Implement automation to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention

Qualifications:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) is preferred

- ICWA, MBA Finance or M.Com with relevant experience may also be considered

Experience:

- 8 - 12 years of progressive experience in Finance & Accounts

- Minimum 2 years in a leadership role

- Experience in the Caf, QSR, Retail, Restaurant or Hospitality industry is highly preferred

- Experience managing multi location accounting operations
