Role Description The Senior Maintenance Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Perambalur, responsible for ensuring reliable operation of dairy and agricultural equipment across the facility. Daily tasks include diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, performing scheduled preventive maintenance, and completing repairs on production machinery, utilities, and support systems. The role involves monitoring equipment performance, maintaining accurate maintenance records, and coordinating with operations staff to minimize downtime and support continuous production. The Senior Maintenance Technician will also help implement safety and maintenance best practices, guide junior technicians, and collaborate with vendors or external service providers when needed.
Qualifications

• Strong equipment maintenance skills, including Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair for industrial machinery and facility systems.
• Proficiency in Troubleshooting and Industrial Maintenance, with the ability to quickly identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Experience in Preventive Maintenance, including planning, scheduling, and executing maintenance routines to reduce breakdowns and extend equipment life.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems commonly used in dairy, food processing, or agricultural environments.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and maintenance documentation.
• Commitment to workplace safety standards and regulatory compliance, including safe handling of tools and equipment.
• Prior experience in a production or processing facility; experience in dairy or food manufacturing is an advantage.
• Relevant technical diploma, trade certification, or equivalent practical experience in maintenance or engineering.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently as well as in coordination with cross-functional teams.
