Senior IT Professional - Governance/Transformation - Contractual

About the Opportunity:

We are supporting a leading consulting firm on a strategic technology transformation engagement with a leading BFSI client. We are looking for an experienced Senior IT Professional with strong enterprise IT experience who can provide integrated oversight across IT Governance, Testing / Quality Assurance, IT Procurement / Vendor Management, and IT Project / Program Management.

The role will provide integrated oversight across the technology lifecycle - from governance, sourcing and vendor management through project execution, quality assurance, implementation readiness and management reporting.

The ideal candidate will have approximately 10 - 15 years of experience in large and complex enterprise IT environments, preferably in banking/BFSI, public - sector organizations, or other highly regulated environments. The individual should have demonstrated experience independently leading cross - functional workstreams, establishing governance mechanisms, managing technology vendors/System Integrators (SIs), overseeing major technology initiatives, and engaging senior IT and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

- Leading and supporting enterprise - wide initiatives across IT Governance, Testing / Quality Assurance Centre of Excellence (Testing CoE), IT Procurement / Vendor Management, and IT Project / Program Management.

- Providing integrated oversight across the technology lifecycle - from governance, sourcing and vendor management through project execution, quality assurance, implementation readiness and management reporting.

Required Experience:

- Approximately 10 - 15 years of overall experience in IT/technology functions.

- Significant experience across enterprise IT governance, technology project/program management, Testing/QA, IT procurement/commercial management and vendor governance, with strong functional depth in at least one or two areas.

- Demonstrated experience independently leading major technology workstreams, transformation initiatives, governance mechanisms, PMOs/CoEs or enterprise programs.

- Experience managing and governing OEMs, technology vendors, System Integrators and/or managed - service providers against agreed scope, SLAs, milestones, quality standards and contractual commitments.

- Experience engaging senior IT and business leadership and working across functions such as Finance, Procurement, Risk, Compliance, Information Security and Audit.

- Experience in banking/BFSI, financial services or another highly regulated and business - critical technology environment is strongly preferred.

- Experience with a Public Sector Bank, government organization or PSU, including exposure to formal governance, procurement and audit processes, would be preferred.
