Senior Executive - Indirect Tax (GST)

Excelberg is looking for a Semi-Qualified CA to join our Indirect Tax team in Bangalore.

Position: Senior Executive – Indirect Tax (GST)

Location: Bangalore

Experience: 5+ years in core GST / Indirect Tax

Qualification: CA Inter / Semi-Qualified CA

What the role involves

• End-to-end GST compliance and return filing, including GSTR-1, 3B, 8, 9, 9C and 10
• GSTR-2B vs purchase register reconciliation, ITC mismatches, reversals and reclaims
• ITC, RCM and GST reconciliations across books, returns and e-invoices
• Drafting replies to GST notices, including ASMT-10, ASMT-11, DRC-01, DRC-01A and DRC-06
• Supporting departmental audits, assessments, summons and litigation matters
• Advisory on classification, rates, ITC, place of supply, valuation and exemptions
• Tracking notifications, circulars, amendments and judicial developments
• Managing compliance calendars, e-invoicing and e-way bill compliance
• Coordinating with clients and internal teams on compliance, notices and audits

What we're looking for

• Hands-on experience in GST compliance, reconciliations and return filing
• Practical exposure to notice handling and drafting
• Strong understanding of GST law, notifications and circulars
• Good working knowledge of Excel and the GST portal
• Clear communication and comfort working directly with clients
• Experience in a CA firm or multi-client consulting setup will be preferred
