Location: Chennai/Bangalore- Hybrid / Remote for contractor

Duration: Full time

Experience: 8–12 years in total, including 6+ years in Oracle Hyperion/EPM and 3+ years on Oracle EPM Cloud

Reports to: Solution Architect

Role Summary

The functional lead for the reporting cube. Turns the Solution Architect's design into a detailed, buildable application, builds its core components, and guides the EPM Consultant. Works directly with finance stakeholders and is accountable for how well the cube and reports are built.

Key Responsibilities

Run requirements workshops with finance stakeholders (FP&A, controllership, reporting) and turn reporting needs into dimensional requirements.

Own the detailed design with the Solution Architect: dimensions, hierarchies, alternate hierarchies, attributes, cube type (BSO/ASO), data storage and aggregation settings.

Build and configure the application: metadata, member formulas, calculation scripts, business rules (Groovy where needed) and currency translation.

Design and build reporting: EPM Reports / Financial Reporting, Smart View ad hoc templates, dashboards and, where in scope, Narrative Reporting packages.

Define and set up security: groups, dimension and member-level access, and data access permissions.

Tune performance: ASO aggregation views, BSO calculation optimisation, and report and retrieval speed.

Lead data reconciliation between Fusion GL and the cube, including trial balance tie-outs by entity, account and period.

Guide and review the EPM Consultant's work, including design, build and peer reviews.

Lead system integration testing (SIT), support UAT, and triage and resolve defects.

Produce design documents, configuration workbooks, test scripts, cutover steps, training material and the handover to support.

Report status, risks and issues to the Solution Architect and project manager.

Must-Have Skills

At least 2 full-lifecycle Oracle EPM Cloud implementations as lead or senior consultant (Planning / EPBCS, FreeForm or Enterprise Profitability & Cost Management, or Essbase-based reporting).

Strong Essbase knowledge: BSO vs ASO trade-offs, outline design, calc scripts and MDX for ASO.

Hands-on with EPM Reports / Financial Reporting and Smart View (ad hoc, forms, templates).

Business rules, including Groovy rules.

Solid finance knowledge: chart of accounts, trial balance, P&L, balance sheet, management reporting, and basics of multi-currency and intercompany.

Clear communication with client stakeholders abroad (e.g. US / UK); comfortable leading workshops.

Good-to-Have

Oracle EPM Cloud Implementation Professional certification (Planning or related).

Exposure to FCCS, Narrative Reporting or Enterprise Data Management (EDM).

EPM Automate scripting and Data Integration basics.

Working knowledge of Oracle Fusion GL (ledgers, COA segments, balances).

Migration from on-premise Hyperion to EPM Cloud.

Qualifications

B.E. / B.Tech / MCA, or CA / CMA / MBA (Finance). A finance qualification combined with EPM technical depth is preferred.
