Senior Embroidery Digitiser - Wilcom/Pulse

Company description

Weftura is an embroidery digitising company in Bengaluru. Embroidery units, uniform suppliers and shops send us artwork (logos, badges, lettering, clipart) and we send back DST files that sew cleanly on caps, polos, jackets and uniforms. We are also building our own software for this work, trained on the files our digitisers make. We are a small team, and you work directly with the founder.

The role

You digitise customer artwork in two steps:

1. Redraw the artwork as a clean, layered vector in CorelDRAW or Illustrator: one closed shape per fill, outlines and lettering as separate objects, layers in sewing order.
2. Convert the vector into an object-based stitch file in Wilcom or Hatch. Fix what auto-digitising gets wrong (underlay, pull compensation, density, sewing order, trims), check it and export the DST.

With each job you write a short note on what you changed and why. Your files and notes train our software, and your feedback shapes the tool.

What we need

• 4 to 12 years of professional digitising: logos, badges and lettering for garments.
• Wilcom or Hatch every day. Pulse or Tajima DG is a plus.
• CorelDRAW, Illustrator or Inkscape Experience.
• Small lettering, 7 mm and under, that sews clean.

Hiring process

1. We send you four designs to digitise within five days, about four hours of work. They are assessment pieces, not customer orders.
2. We sew them out at our cost and send you the photos.
3. If you are selected, a 30-minute interview.
